1. Who this is for
This policy explains what information Min Register keeps, and why. Min Register is run by Min Technologies, a business name registered in Belize (registration no. 000037384) and owned by Glenford Dawson, whose registered office is at the corner of Butterflyfish Street and Manatee Boulevard, Ladyville, Belize District, Belize. Min Register is used by businesses (our “customers”). The business decides what to record about its own staff and sales. For its staff and sales records, the business is in charge of the information and we look after it on the business's behalf.
2. What we keep
About the business and its users
- The business name, plan and settings.
- Each owner's or manager's name and email address, and their sign-in record.
About the business's staff
- Names, roles (owner, manager, cashier) and whether they are active.
- A PIN for each person, stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form. Nobody, including us, can read a PIN back.
About what the business does
- Products, prices, categories, promotions, stock and cash movements.
- Sales and receipts: what was sold, when, by whom, at which till, how it was paid, refunds and discounts, and who approved them.
- A record of changes made in the system (who changed what, and when).
- The tills and screens paired to the business.
About the business's own customers
We do not ask for customers' personal details. Cashiers may type a name or table label on an order or tab (for example “Table 4”). Please do not enter more than you need.
Technical information
- Basic technical records created by our hosting services, such as when a page was requested.
- Information the browser keeps on your device so a till can work without internet: the product list, staff list, PIN hashes for staff you allow to unlock offline, and sales waiting to upload.
3. Why we use it
- To run Min Register for the business: show the till, record sales, produce reports and keep stock.
- To keep the service safe, find and fix problems, and stop misuse.
- To support the business when it asks for help.
- To bill and keep our own accounts.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who else handles it
We use other companies to run the service. They handle information only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase, which holds the database and sign-in. Our project is in US West (Oregon, United States).
- Vercel, which hosts the website, in the United States.
- Namecheap, which holds our domain and forwards our email.
Because of this, information is stored and handled outside Belize, in the United States. We may also share information if the law requires it. If we add another service that handles your information, such as one that sends email, we will update this page.
5. How long we keep it
- While the account is active.
- After it ends, for 90 days, so the business can ask for a copy. Then we delete it. A few copies may stay in our backups for a short time after that.
- Records we must keep for our own tax and accounts stay as the law requires.
6. Keeping it safe
- Connections are protected (HTTPS).
- Each business can see only its own information.
- Only an owner can change staff, prices and settings. The owner decides what managers can see.
- PINs are stored hashed.
- No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise it. Keep your sign-in details and your devices safe, and tell us at once if you think someone else has access.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information the business keeps,
- correct something that is wrong,
- delete information or close the account (subject to the records the law says must be kept).
Write to support@minregister.com. If you work for a business that uses Min Register, please ask the business first, as it is in charge of its staff and sales records.
8. Cookies and similar
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in and to let tills work without internet. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children
Min Register is for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may change this policy. We will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before a change that matters, and the date at the top will change.
